Thaksin Has No Vested Interest In Energy
![]() Thaksin Shinawatra has had no vested interest in Thailand's energy sector as alleged by Korn Chatikavanich, said Noppadon Pattama on Friday.
Though the former Thai premier had held talk with Lebanon's high-level government officials about an energy issue, that was merely in the public interest of Thailand and not in any personal interest as unduly charged by the Democrat Party's MP and former finance minister, according to Thaksin's legal advisor.
''Mr Korn was once a cabinet member who should have been more careful about his word and could have told truths from lies. If Khun Thaksin was ever proven to hold any share in the PTT (Petroleum Authority of Thailand), he would transfer it all to a Foundation for Retards,'' said Noppadon sarcastically.
He said his boss has not owned a single stake in the state-owned oil firm or any related business in Thailand. Neither had he been interested in the Thai energy sector, he added.
