| Jurin Laksanavisit charged on Thursday there are practically ''two prime ministers'' heading a Puea Thai-led coalition government.
Debating the government policies in parliament, the chief opposition whip criticized Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra for allegedly not being very independent or resolute about anything pertaining to the running of the country as head of government.
Besides the woman leader, there is allegedly one other ''prime minister'' who has masterminded the formulating of the Puea Thai Party's populist platforms manifested during electoral campaigns as well as government policies, declared to parliament for three consecutive days since Tuesday, according to the Democrat MP.
He apparently referred to former premier Thaksin Shinawatra, brother of the woman leader, who has been globetrotting in self-exile since he was ousted in 2006's coup.
''There're practically two prime ministers running the country today. One was set to do the thinking without performing and the other was set to do the performing without thinking,'' said Mr Jurin.
He alleged Ms Yingluck had kept her word only about one thing: to redo and not revenge - the pledge repeatedly given to constituents during her electoral stumps nationwide.
''That is to redo the constitution. Ms Prime Minister earlier said constitution amendment is not an urgent issue and not the responsibility of the government. She said it'd depend on the legislative branch if and how the constitution might be amended.
''But the constitution amendment has become one of the government's policies which are to be implemented urgently. It's obviously contained in the government policy address,'' said the chief opposition whip.
Nevertheless, Ms Yingluck reassured she could run the country as planned and promised while criticisms and suggestions from the opposition will be taken into account.
''Running the country is not like doing an exam. My government's answers would not be 100% correct but I believe they will finally pass,'' said the beaming woman leader.
